Site Work Starts At All Aboard Florida MiamiCentral Complex

All Aboard Florida

After revealing plans in May, site work has begun on the Downtown Miami All Aboard Florida station called MiamiCentral.

The nine acre site was formally used as parking lot. The plans for MiamiCentral include residential units, office space and retail. Plans have been submitted to the FAA to include a supertower in the complex that would rise over 1,000 feet.

All Aboard Florida is also building stations in Fort Lauderdale and West Palm that will connect the high speed rail service to Orlando.

Construction on the MiamiCentral site is expected to begin by the end of the year.
