62 Story Tower By JDS Development Proposed For Brickell

A 62 story tower has been proposed by JDS Development to replace a Brickell Fire Station, according to The SFBJ.

The tower would rise 752 feet and would include 1,000 residential units, 176 hotel rooms 250,000 square feet of office space, 5,000 square feet of retail and 1,600 parking spaces.

The current Fire Station would be demolished and replaced with a new station as part of the new design.

JDS is currently developing Monad Terrace in Miami Beach.

A 38 story office tower has been proposed for the corner of Brickell Avenue and SE 10th Street at 888 Brickell Ave, according to The Next Miami. The site is across the street from the under construction 1010 Brickell.

The proposed office tower would have 304,950 square feet of space, retail and restaurant space and 264 parking spaces. It would reach a height of 472 feet.

Currently on the site is a 7 story office tower built in 1972. The building was purchased in 1984 for $6.3 million by Alphatur N.V. Corporation who are also developing the new tower.

The architect is Arquitectonica who have also designed the nearby Brickell City Centre, SLS Brickell, SLS Lux Brickell and Brickell Heights.

Two 60 story towers from Kar Properties have been proposed next to the Miami Avenue bridge, according to Miami Today.

The two towers would have a waterfall and rise directly in front of The Ivy, Mint and Wind condos. The plan is to have 406 residential units 30,000 square feet of commercial space. 

Last year, Kar Properties spent $27.5 million on the land and $33 million on the land behind the three current condos. In December 2014, a submission was made to the FAA for a 928 foot tower on the site, but no word on how tall the two proposed towers will rise.
