Rockpoint Group Receives $109M Mortgage For 1221 Brickell

After being purchased for $155 million in April, Rockpoint Group has received a $109 million mortgage on 1221 Brickell, according to The Real Deal. 

The 27 story 1221 Brickell was built in 1986 and designed by Harwood K. Smith & Partners. The building is known for its illuminating lights at night and was featured in the television show Miami Vice.

Rockpoint Group purchased Mary Brickell Village for $113.5 million in 2015.

The 1221 Brickell office tower on Brickell Avenue has sold for $155 million and was purchased by Rockpoint Group.

The seller of 1221 Brickell is Blackstone Group, which purchased the building for $107,284,950 in September 2006. 

Built in 1986, the 27 story 1221 Brickell was designed by Harwood K. Smith & Partners and is known for its glass curtain exterior. The center of the building has neon striped lights that illuminate at night and houses the elevator shaft. The building has been featured in many episodes of Miami Vice.

The Shops at Mary Brickell Village 

Ivanhoe Cambridge has sold The Shops at Mary Brickell Village for $113.5 million, according to The Real Deal. The buyer is Rockpoint Group.

Located in the heart of Brickell, the 195,188 square foot shopping center was built in 2007  and it's tenants include Publix, Blue Martini, Brother Jimmy's and Doraku. Above the parking garage is the condo Nine at Mary Brickell Village, which recently opened earlier this year.
