TBT (October 13, 2014) - 5 years ago the 36 story condo Centro was under construction and on the 4th floor. Centro eventually opened in May 2016 in Downtown Miami.

Since our last update in July, Centro is rising vertically in Downtown Miami. Workers are starting on the 4th floor of the 36 story tower.

Centro will not have a parking garage, but residents will have advantage of close proximity to the metrorail, metromover and the use of the CitiBikes that are coming to Downtown next month.

Centro Ready To Open Soon

Centro is expected to receive its temporary certificate of occupancy soon and closing are expected to happen this week or first week in June, according to Miami Condo Investments.

The 36 story condo at 96 NE 2nd Ave in Downtown Miami broke ground in December 2013 and topped out June 2015. 

The building does not have any parking and residents are encouraged to use the nearby transportation such as the Metrorail, Metromover and CitiBikes.

Centro Miami is getting closer to completion with the crane now removed and most of the exterior being painted. The windows are balconies are installed on the 36 story residential tower in Downtown Miami.

Centro Miami has topped out since we last looked at the condo tower in June. The exterior of the building has started to get painted white and windows are being installed.

Centro in Downtown Miami

Since passing the halfway mark of construction back in March, Centro is close to topping out. The tower rises above many of the nearby offices surrounding the building. When construction is completed residents will have an incredible view of the Miami Tower, especially at night.

Centro in Downtown Miami is over the halfway mark with construction at the 21st floor of the 36 story tower. When we last checked in, the building was at the 4th floor.

The building at 96 NE 2nd Ave, will not have any parking spaces, but residents are encouraged to use the public transportation that is in close proximately such as, the metromover, metrorail and Citibikes. 

Construction is expected to be completed in 2015.

One Flagler 50 Percent Sold

Over 50 percent of the office condos in One Flagler have sold, according to the Real Deal.

Newgard Development Group has put $10 million is renovations into the building since converting it at the end of 2014.

The building was built in 1952 by famed architect Morris Lapidus, who also designed the Fountainebleau Hotel on Miami Beach. 

The renovations are currently 80 percent complete.
