Demolition is underway at the Duffy's Sports Grill in Coconut Grove at Cocowalk.

Duffy's first opened in the Fall of 2013 as a popular place to watch sporting events in Central Grove before finally closing at the beginning of 2018. 

In its place will be One Cocowalk, which will be a 5 story Class A office building with 73,000 square feet. There will be four levels of office space, ground floor retail and a rooftop terrace. 

Construction has also started on the Western portion of the new revamped Cocowalk.

Cocowalk was purchased in May 2015 for $87.5 million.

New Renderings For The Redesigned Cocowalk

In February, plans were shown of the new redesigned Cocowalk and now more renderings and information has been revealed by the Miami Herald. 

Opened in 1990, the Cocowalk Mall will have a major overhaul of the three story space with 198,000 square feet of retail. 

Designed by Beame Architectural Partnership and Foreseer, the West portion of Cocowalk will have the YouFit gym and Cinepolis Theater staying, but the Cheesecake Factory will be gone when its lease is up at the end of May. 

The main rotunda at the center of Cocowalk with a Fat Tuesday and Tervis will be demolished and replaced with an open courtyard with outdoor seating. The Starbucks will be moving into the former Coldwell Banker space across the street later this Summer. The change are expected to be completed by mid-2018 after starting work this Summer.

Also announced in March was One Cocowalk, which will be a 73,000 square feet of Class A office space on the East portion of Cocowalk. Construction on One Cocowalk will start in 2018.

Construction on a 73,000 square foot Class A office building will begin in early 2018, according the The Miami Herald. 

The office building, called One Cocowalk, will be built on the corner of Grand Ave and Virginia St and is part of the redevelopment of the shopping mall Cocowalk, which was purchased for $87.5 million in 2015. 

The five story One Cocowalk will have ground level retail, four floors of office space, with 250 underground parking spaces and a rooftop terrace. 

Construction is expected to be completed mid-2019.
