Virgin MiamiCentral Offices Sold For $159M

Florida East Coast Industries has sold the office buildings 3 MiamiCentral and 2 MiamiCentral for $159 million to Shorenstein, according to The Real Deal.

3 MiamiCentral was completed December 2017 and has 90,000 square feet of office space and 35,000 square feet of retail. 2 MiamiCentral, which was completed last year has 190,000 square feet of office space.

The 12 story Megacenter Brickell is starting to take shape after beginning construction September 2018.

Megacenter Brickell will have 74,790 square feet of storage space, 57 residential units, 16,670 square feet of office space, 9,134 square feet of retail and 111 parking spaces.

Construction on the 5 story The Optimum in Coconut Grove is almost completed since starting to go vertical December 2017.

A year ago, construction was reaching the 4th floor of the building.

The Optimum will have 44,000 square feet of office space and a 6,500 square foot rooftop restaurant.

One Cocowalk Taking Shape As Construction Reaches 3rd Floor

Phase two of Cocowalk renovations are well underway as One Cocowalk reaches the third floor of construction before finally topping off at 5 stories.

Just two months ago, a crane was installed on the site and vertical construction was beginning.

A 7,500 square foot Los Generales Mezcal & Grill will be opening at the end of the year with a rooftop terrace and bar.

The completed Cocowalk will be finished first quarter 2020.

The Optimum Getting Closer To Completion

The 5 story The Optimum in Coconut Grove is getting closer to completion since we last looked at the project in October 2018.

Located at 3480 Main Hwy, The Optimum is next to the abandoned Coconut Grove Playhouse and the restaurant Greenstreet.

The building started going vertical December 2017 and topped off June 2018.

After starting to go vertical in December 2018, a crane has been installed at One Cocowalk as vertical construction continues on the 5 story Class A office building.

Demolition on the Eastern portion of Cocowalk started May 2018 with the main rotunda going down August 2018.

One Cocowalk has signed the coworking company Spaces, as an anchor tenant in the new building that will occupy 42,883 square feet of space.

Construction is expected to be completed first quarter 2020.
