Revealed: The Towers By Foster + Partners

The Towers by Foster + Partners Rendering in Brickell

After many years sitting as an empty lot, and now currently a parking lot, a new luxury condominium may be coming to the last waterfront land in Brickell. The previous name was called Villa Magna, but is now called The Towers by Foster + Partners, according to Curbed Miami. 

The Towers by Foster + Partners will be two luxury condominiums on a 2.5 acre site located at 1201 Brickell Bay Drive and one of the towers will be 1,049 feet, which has already been approved by the FAA. The second tower will reach 1,018 feet. The Towers will have 660 residential units. 

The architect on Towers is Foster + Partners, who also designed Faena House on Miami Beach. Plans call for a interconnecting bridge between the two towers and also an underground parking garage.

The Towers by Foster + Partners is being developed by Florida East Coast Realty, Corigan Real Estate Group and McCourt Global Properties.

Maizon Receives Approval

After revealing plans in May of this year, Maizon has been recommended for approval from the Urban Development Review Board.

The 24 story Maizon is located in the ever changing West Brickell area and will have 262 rental units.

Maizon is being developed by ZOM, who also developing the under construction Solitair Brickell and Avant at Met Square in Downtown Miami. Maizon was designed by MSA Architects. 

Construction is expected to start first quarter 2017.

The 58 Story SLS Lux Brickell Close To Topping Out

The 58 story SLS Lux Brickell, located at 801 South Miami Avenue is getting closer to topping off. The luxury condominium is currently around the 52nd/53rd floor. 

Groundbreaking on the tower began in December 2014 and started going vertical in August 2015. 

The building will have 450 residential units with private elevators and the façade will feature an LED lighting by artist Ana Isabel Martinez and a colorful mural by artist Fabián Burgos, similar to what is currently going up at Brickell Heights.

The SLS Lux Brickell is one of many towers in Brickell including Brickell Heights and Brickell City Centre that are creating a dramatic transformation to the Miami skyline in just three short years.

Excavation Begins At Brickell Flatiron Site

Brickell Flatiron Site

Since groundbreaking began earlier in March, foundation work was being done at Brickell Flatiron site and now excavating has started. 

One crane has been added to the site with the base of another installed. The foundation pour is scheduled for December 2016/January 2017 with the project going vertical soon afterwards.

Fabián Burgos Mural Taking Shape At Brickell Heights

At the end of July, the colorful mural by artist Fabián Burgos started going up on the North side of the parking garage at Brickell Heights.

Now that the cranes have come down and more work has been done on the site, the mural is really starting to take shape. 

The vibrant colors add a pop to the two towers and will look even more incredible when it surrounds the entire parking garage.

Brickell Heights is expected to be completed by early 2017.

The 85 story Panorama Tower has reached the 57th floor of construction. The tower will surpass the Four Seasons Miami as the tallest building in Miami at 830 feet. Expected to top out early 2017, the views from the 57th floor are already spectacular, where you can see all of Brickell, Downtown Miami, Key Biscayne, Coconut Grove, Coral Gables, Miami Beach and on a clear day, Bimini.

The Topped Out 1010 Brickell 

When we previously looked at 1010 Brickell in July, the condo was at the 41st floor. Since that time, the tower has topped out at 50 stories. 

1010 Brickell has sold 99 percent of the units with only three remaining out of 387. 

The project is being developed by 13th Floor Investments and Key International. 1010 Brickell was designed by Sieger Suerez who also designed the under construction Muse Residences and the nearly completed Porsche Design Tower.
