Brickell Gas Station Sold For $8M

A Chevron gas station in Brickell located at 720 SW 2nd Ave has sold for $8 million, according to The Real Deal.

The half acre site was purchased by Simon Karam's City Block Properties and was last sold for $1.49 million in 1999. 

The gas station is located across the street from the planned Miami River complex by Chetrit Group, which take place in five phases.

Brickell Flatiron To Begin Concrete Pour On Friday

Brickell Flatiron is scheduled for its foundation pour this Friday, which will take 24 hours of a continuous pour and 1,300 truckloads.

Groundbreaking began at the site in March 2016 and two cranes have been added since then. 

Brickell Flatiron is being developed by CMC Group and was designed by architect Luis Revuelta who also designed the proposed Aston Martin Residences on the Miami River. Brickell Flatiron will rise 750 feet to 65 stories and have 552 residential units. The project is one of many that has brought a dramatic transformation to Brickell since 2013.

Urban Development Review Board Approves Two Brickell Projects

After being announced late 2016, both 888 Brickell Avenue and 1111 Brickell have been approved by Miami's Urban Development Review.

888 Brickell Avenue will be a 38 story office tower designed by Arquitectonica that will replace an aging 7 story building built in 1972. 

Developer AIMCO is planning to renovate the existing Yacht Club building in the first phase. The second phase will include demolition of the parking garage and building a new 61 story, 690 foot condo with 572 residential units and 961 parking spaces.

Since we last looked at 1010 Brickell in September, the cranes have been removed from the site and the building is progressing. 

There are only 6 more floors of before the balconies are completely installed. Work is being done on the rooftop pool, which is located on the South side. 

The Sieger Suarez designed building is expected to be completed Summer 2017.

The Views From The 67th Floor Of Panorama Tower

Panorama Tower continues to grow taller to become the tallest building South of New York on the eastern seaboard. The tower will reach 85 stories at a height of 830 feet to surpass the Four Seasons Miami as the tallest in the city. 

Previously, in September, Panorama Tower reached the 57th floor and already had incredible 360 views of the city. Now the building has climbed 10 floors higher at 67 floors and the views keep getting better and better. At 67 floors, Panorama Tower is already higher than most of the surrounding buildings.

The building will have 1-3 bedroom units from 900 to 2,200 square feet. Amenities including three private movie theaters, fitness center, private dining and wine room, recording studio and a cyber café.

The 58 story SLS Lux Brickell located at 801 South Miami Avenue has topped off. 

At the beginning of the year the SLS Lux Brickell was at the 10th floor and in December 2014 groundbreaking began on the project. 

The SLS Lux Brickell is located across the street from the newly opened Brickell City Centre and the almost completed Brickell Heights. These three buildings, along with several other towers have dramatically changed the landscape of Brickell over the last three/four years. 

Construction is expected to be completed September 2017.

Panorama Tower has reached the 67th floor of construction and is only 18 floors away from topping out. The tower will reach 830 feet and be the tallest building in Miami. 

When we previously looked at Panorama Tower the building was on the 57th floor and already offered incredible views of the city from all angles.
