Progression Of Brickell City Centre From South Miami Ave.

Swire Properties' Brickell City Centre is a massive construction project in the heart of Brickell. It's hard to get a sense of how big the project is until you stand on South Miami Ave. and see the construction on three full city blocks. 

On what was once empty lots, are now large skyscrapers changing the Miami skyline. 

Below are photos of Brickell City Centre facing East on South Miami Ave where construction on Hotel East, Reach Brickell City Centre, North Squared Condo, offices, wellness center and retail are being built. In the other direction facing West (not in the photos) is construction on Rise Brickell City Centre, offices and retail.

Brickell City Centre's growth can also be seen from the 8th St. Metromover Station before its closing.

Climate Ribbon Being Installed On Brickell City Centre

Workers are now in the process of installing the Climate Ribbon over the Skywalk on SW 7th St

The Climate Ribbon collects up to 5 million gallons of rain water annually. It will prevent the use of an air conditioner in public spaces, but provide shelter from the heat and rain.

Plans For Related Group's One Brickell Project

The Next Miami has obtained renderings and details about The Related Group's One Brickell Project. The towers will be designed by architect Arquitectonica and will be three towers. Tower I will be 77 stories (811 Feet), Tower II 57 stories (619 feet), Tower III 82 stories (859 feet). 

The site is located at 444 Brickell Ave right on the Miami River.

According to The Next Miami the building s will be 1,400 residential units, 249 hotel units, over 41,000 square feet of office space and over 24,000 square feet of retail space. 

Fisher Island's Palazzo Del Sol Tops Off

The 10 story Palazzo Del Sol has topped off. The Mediterranean style condo is located on the trendy Fisher Island where it is only accessible by boat or ferry. Prices range from  $5 million to $32 million for the 47 units in the building.

Construction is expected to be completed by first quarter 2016. Construction on Palazzo Della Luna is expected to start in 2015.

Sales Center Demolished & Foundation Work To Start Soon At Brickell Ten

Construction has already begun at the Brickell Ten site, but the sales center that was located on the site was recently demolished. 

Foundation work will start soon on the 22 story building.

Broadstone at Brickell will be built just West of the site.

1010 Brickell Secures $76 Million Construction Loan

The 1010 Brickell project developed by Key International and 13 Floor Investments received a $76 million construction loan, according to The Real Deal.

In September, demolition began on the parking garage on the site and now preliminary construction has begun on the 50 story condo.

Swire To Tunnel Under SE 6th St. To Connect Brickell City Centre

Swire Will Tunnel Under SE 6th St. Highlighted In Red

Swire will close SE 6th St. between South Miami Ave. and SE 1st Ave until April 15 to tunnel beneath the street according to Miami Today.

The tunnel will connect Brickell City Centre North Squared Condo with the underground parking of the rest of City Centre. The underground parking has two levels for 1,934 spaces. 

Foundation work is being done on the bottom retail portion of North Squared Condo. This site used to be the parking lot for the Brickell Tennis Club.
