Banco Santander Building on Brickell Avenue

The Banco Santander building located at 1401 Brickell Avenue is listed for sale, according to The Next Miami.

The 14 story building built in 1973, sits on a 87,958 square foot lot and was purchased for $114 million in 2008.

The site is approved by the FAA for an 844 foot building.

Other buildings on Brickell Avenue have sold in recent years such as 800 Brickell for $112 million, Brickell Arch for $142 million, the SunTrust Building for $140 million and 1221 Brickell for $155 million.

As Hurricane Irma made landfall in Florida on September 10th as a category 3 hurricane, winds over 100 mph caused damage throughout Miami and Coconut Grove.

Brickell Avenue and Brickell Bay Drive turned into a river and Coconut Grove experienced storm surges past South Bayshore Drive. 

The next day the water had subsided leaving behind many uprooted trees and sunken boats.

1010 Brickell Completed

The 50 story 1010 Brickell has received TCO and closings are expected to begin next week.

Construction on the building on September 2014 with the demolition of the parking garage on site and started going vertical in March 2015. 

The Sieger Suarez designed building has 389 units and a rooftop pool.

Sign Installed At Echo Brickell

Since topping off in January, Echo Brickell is taking shape as the front sign has been installed over the lobby of the building.

A year ago, the building had just reached the 41st floor of construction. 

The 57 story luxury condominium was designed by Carlos Ott and is expected to be completed by early 2018.

1010 Brickell is getting closer to completion since we last looked at the project in April. A year ago, 1010 Brickell had just reached the 41st floor.

Most of the blue protective covering has been removed from the balconies and the rooftop amenities deck is nearly finished with water in the pool.

Conrad Hotel Brickell in the Brickell Arch

The Conrad Hotel in the building Brickell Arch has sold for $72 million, according to The Miami Herald and was purchased by Mast Capital. 

The Conrad Hotel with 203 guest rooms, is located at 1395 Brickell Avenue and is within the building Brickell Arch, which sold for $142 million in September 2015 to Dallas based Gaedeke Group. The hotel has been listed for sale since July 2015 and was expected to sell for over $100 million at the time.

Originally called Banco Espiritu Santo, the 36 story building was completed in 2004 and designed by Kohn Peterson Fox Associates. The building is known for its 30 story arch on the front façade of the glass. 

Mast Capital is planning on renovating the lobby, pool, restaurant and guest rooms.

Rockpoint Group Receives $109M Mortgage For 1221 Brickell

After being purchased for $155 million in April, Rockpoint Group has received a $109 million mortgage on 1221 Brickell, according to The Real Deal. 

The 27 story 1221 Brickell was built in 1986 and designed by Harwood K. Smith & Partners. The building is known for its illuminating lights at night and was featured in the television show Miami Vice.

Rockpoint Group purchased Mary Brickell Village for $113.5 million in 2015.
