The Pleasure Emporium Demolished

TBT (July 6, 2015) - 4 years ago, the buildings that were located along the Miami River in Brickell were demolished to make way for 4 60 story towers called Miami River. The project is to be developed by Chetrit Group and designed by Kobi Karp.

The site is still vacant today.

After receiving approval from the Urban Development Review Board, demolition has begun at the Miami River site located just East of I-95 and along the Miami River.

The buildings on the site that were demolished include the Pleasure Emporium III, Sir Speedy and several single family homes. Currently Finnegan's on the River and a few boating stores remain on the site closest to the river and should be demolished soon. 

The Miami River site is part of the transformation of West Brickell and will be built in five phases of construction.

The 12 story Arte by Antonio Citterio in Surfside is getting closer to completion as all the glass has been installed on the building and the glass on the balconies are starting to be put in place.

When we last looked at the project in November 2018, the hoist was still on the building and the crane was removed. Arte topped off in June 2018.

Four Seasons Private Residences Fort Lauderdale

Construction has started on the 22 story Four Seasons Private Residences Fort Lauderdale as foundation work continues before a future foundation pour.

The project will have 90 residential units and 130 hotel rooms. Residences will span from 780 to 6,000 square feet.

The building is being developed by Fort Partners and designed by Kobi Karp who also collaborated on The Surf Club Four Seasons Hotel and Residences in Surfside.

Construction on the Four Seasons Private Residences Fort Lauderdale is expected to be completed by the end of 2020.

Panorama Tower In Brickell

TBT (February 27, 2015) - 4 years ago, the tallest building in Miami - Panorama Tower was just starting to go vertical with two cranes installed at the site. The building would top off in April 2017 at 868 feet with incredible 360 views of all of Miami. Panorama Tower would eventually open in May 2018.

Since starting construction and pouring the foundation at Panorama Tower, the building is slowly making its way above ground level.

Two cranes have been added to the site at 1101 Brickell Bay Drive.

Monad Terrace Topped Off

The under construction Monad Terrace in Miami Beach has topped off with one tower at 7 stories and the second tower at 14 stories. In March 2018, construction was just beginning on the site.

With only 59 residential units, the Jean Nouvel designed Monad Terrace is being developed by JDS Development Group.

Construction is expected to be completed third quarter 2019.

Construction is progressing on the six buildings built between 1938 and 1953 at the 1.65 acre Collins Park Hotel since we last looked at the project in April 2018.

The façades of the buildings are being restored, including one building that was burned by a fire in 2007. All of the roofs will be connected, with three rooftop pools, four bars, a signature restaurant with 296 hotel rooms.

The under construction AC Hotel By Marriott in Midtown Miami has topped off after breaking ground April 2018.

The 7 story hotel will have 153 hotel rooms and is expected to be completed before the end of the year.

The Kobi Karp designed AC Hotel is being developed by Aztec Group, 3H Group of Tennessee and Arti Hersi Inc.
