Brickell Flatiron At Night

Brickell Flatiron has reached the 21st floor of the 64 story luxury condominium in Brickell with construction starting on the 22nd floor.

A year ago, the concrete pour was just about to begin. 

Construction is now rising on the residential tower portion of the building with a floor per week. 

The curves of the building, designed by architect Luis Revuelta are more noticeable as the tower is getting higher.

After being purchased for $18.4 million in January 2017, demolition has now started on the two story El Eden Motel in Brickell.

The El Eden Motel was originally built in 1976 and then expanded in 1990 with the purchase of the North end of the lot for $390,000. 

With 53 rooms, all of the rooms had large mirrors over and in front of the beds. Some rooms even had all the walls and ceilings covered in mirrors. 

Once the motel is completely demolished, a 24 story hotel with 263 rooms will rise, with construction expected to start first quarter 2018. The project will be developed by Tony Cho of Metro 1 and Robert Finvarb of Finvarb Companies. 

The Starlite Motel next door, which sold for $25 million in December 2014 remains open.

41 Story Brickell Hotel To Be Branded By Wyndham Grand And TYRP

A 41 story hotel, which was approved by Miami's planning department in May 2016, will be branded by Wyndham Grand and TYRP, according to the SFBJ.

The Brickell site located at 88 SW 10th Street, was purchased by Galwan for $26 million in 2015. The hotel will have 445 rooms, 200 for Wyndham Grand and 245 for TYRP.

The hotel will have an 8 story parking garage with a rooftop bar and restaurant. Construction will begin at the beginning of 2018 and be completed in 2019.

Closings have begun on the 57 story Echo Brickell located at 1451 Brickell Avenue.

Construction on the luxury condominium began in October 2014 after receiving an $124 million construction loan.

Echo Brickell was developed by Property Markets Group and JDS Development and designed by architect Carlos Ott.

The 64 story Brickell Flatiron has reached the 17th floor of construction, which marks the end of the parking levels. The tower will begin to rise at a floor per week before topping out.

Located at 1001 South Miami Avenue in the heart of Brickell, Brickell Flatiron was designed by architect Luis Revuelta and developed by CMC Group.

Construction is expected to be completed by June 2019.

Banco Santander Building Listed For Sale

The Banco Santander building located at 1401 Brickell Avenue is listed for sale, according to The Next Miami.

The 14 story building built in 1973, sits on a 87,958 square foot lot and was purchased for $114 million in 2008.

The site is approved by the FAA for an 844 foot building.

Other buildings on Brickell Avenue have sold in recent years such as 800 Brickell for $112 million, Brickell Arch for $142 million, the SunTrust Building for $140 million and 1221 Brickell for $155 million.
