Pile Driver Added To SLS Lux Site

Since building the sales center in May 2014, and starting groundbreaking in December 2014, a pile driver has been added to the site to start construction work. The project should be ready to go vertical in the coming months.

The SLS Lux Hotel and Residences Brickell is located in the heart of Brickell next to Brickell City Centre and across the street from Brickell Heights and the shops of Mary Brickell Village.

World Trade Center of the Americas Proposed For Biscayne Boulevard

ITC Center Miami and BH Downtown Miami have submitted plans for a 77 story tower called World Trade Centre of the Americas on Biscayne Boulevard. 

The architect of the project is Arquitectonica and the highest point would reach 953 feet.

The Holiday Inn and building next to it would be demolished to make way for the tower.

Since topping off in the middle of December and since our last overall update, Brickell City Centre has grown exponentially. 

Rise Brickell City Centre is almost close to topping off while Reach Brickell City Centre still has a few months to go. 

The whole project is expected to be completed by the end of the year in December.

Chinese Company Buys Capital At Brickell Site For $74.7

An affiliate of China City Construction and American Da Tang Group have bought the 2.39 acre site that was formally Capital at Brickell, according to the Daily Business Review.

The site had been for sale since 2013 and marketed by CBRE. The 1430 S. Miami location is right next to the under construction SLS Brickell and in the heart of the building boom in Brickell.

Construction has continued on Brickell Heights over the holidays and the base of a crane has been added meaning that the project soon be ready to go vertical very soon. 

The two story condo began preliminary construction in June, and had its official groundbreaking on July 31, 2014.

A lawsuit against the Grove Bay Investment Group LLC filed by Stephen J. Kneapler that was dismissed, is now under appeal. 

Because of the lingering lawsuits, Scotty's Landing and the Chart House have agreed to remove the December 31, 2014 termination license and continue on a month to month basis, according to Miami Today.

In 2013, City Commissioners agreed to allow Grove Bay Investment Group LLC to develop 7 acres of waterfront land for $18 million that will include a Shula's and Oceana, Pub & Grub and retail space. Voters approved of the plan in November 2013.

Since topping out in September, Icon Bay has almost completed installing the balconies and have begun painting the exterior of the building. 

Residents are expected to be able to move in Spring 2015.
