Racing will finally be back in Downtown Miami since leaving for Homestead in 1995. This Satuday, March 14, 2015 the Formula E Miami ePrix will take place through the streets of Downtown Miami.

The 2.17 km race will start on Biscayne Boulevard, loop around NE 2nd Ave and around the American Airlines Arena. 11 drivers will be in the race that will be 30 laps.

Centro in Downtown Miami is over the halfway mark with construction at the 21st floor of the 36 story tower. When we last checked in, the building was at the 4th floor.

The building at 96 NE 2nd Ave, will not have any parking spaces, but residents are encouraged to use the public transportation that is in close proximately such as, the metromover, metrorail and Citibikes. 

Construction is expected to be completed in 2015.

Terranova Corp. Looking To Expand Lincoln Road To 17th St.

Terranova Corp. is developing a project at 723 Lincoln Lane and 801 Lincoln Road that will bring two new three story buildings, according to The Real Deal. 

This will expand Lincoln Road to 17th Street from the pedestrian promenade. Demolition on the existing building will begin later this month and construction is expected to take 14 months.

The buildings were designed by Shulman + Associates.

Making slow, but steady progress is Biscayne Beach in the Edgewater district of Miami.

Since installing the base of two cranes, the tower is starting to rise and is currently at the second floor that will eventually reach 51 stories.

After starting demolition almost a year ago, The Miami Herald Building has been completely torn down now. A few months ago, all that was left was the Northern portion of the building that still had the Miami Herald sign on the East side. 

In 1963 the iconic building was completed and it finally reached its last legs in 2015.

City View Garage To Open This Month In Design District

Design District Garage Next to I-195

After months of construction, the City View garage will be ready to open this month that will add 559 parking spaces to the Design District. 

The Western side of the garage will feature the work of Leong Leong and the Eastern side will display the work of IwamotoScott. The exterior also features the work of John Baldessari named Fun Part 1 and Fun Part 2. 

Palm Court recently opened in December 2014 in time for Art Basel.

GW Brickell Purchase Land In Brickell Area For $26M

Land Purchased in Brickell For $26 Million

Land was recently purchased in Brickell at 88 SW 10th St, which includes a total of 22,770 square feet for 26 million, according to SFBJ.

The land was bought by GW Brickell, which is headed by Brazilian investor Jose Luis Galveas Loureiro. The lot was purchased for $9 million in 2013 by Corday LLC and there were plans to make it a Canopy By Hilton. 

The site it located next to NINE at Mary Brickell Village and East of the Metrorail tracks.
