Venetian Causeway
In 2014, a bus got stuck on the Venetian Causeway, which caused a portion of the bridge to fall into the water. This forced county officials to spend $12.4 million to repair the Western portion of the bridge, which started in June 2015.
After months of construction and repair, the bridge is expected to open again on February 29th.
Bond at Brickell
Construction is progressing at Bond at Brickell since topping out in the Fall of 2015. Most of the windows have been installed and painting of the exterior of the building continues.
The 44 story residential condo has a height of 491 feet and is located at 1080 Brickell Avenue.

Located at 801 South Miami Avenue, SLS Lux Brickell has now reached the 10th floor of construction after starting to go vertical in August 2015. The sales center that was built in May 2014 on the Southwest portion of the lot has been torn down. Windows are being installed on the lower portion of the building.

After building the parking garage, construction has started on the residential floors of 1010 Brickell.
The 50 story condo was designed by Sieger Suarez and developed by 13th Floor Investments and Key International.
1.25 acre Site on the Miami River
After purchasing the Epic East site in July 2014 for $125 million - Riverwalk East Development, led by Alfredo Coto - is expected to break ground in 2016, according to The Next Miami.
Developers of the 1.25 acre site at 300 Biscayne Boulevard Way want to have an on site sales center with a temporary river walk.
Luis Revuelta along with Bodas Miani Anger are the architects on the project that is expected to be completed at the end of 2018.
Brickell Heights is rising taller by the month, especially since we last looked in August of 2015. Each tower is at approximately the 35th floor and expected to top out at 49 floors.

After adding the docks and building a new seawall at Island Gardens in November, the first phase of the development, the deep harbor marina, is ready to open. The marina can hold up to 50 super yachts up to 550 feet in length.
The luxury Island Gardens on Watson Island is being developed by Mehmet Bayraktar of Flagstone Property Group and will have two hotels and a residential tower that will cost $1 billion. Construction is slated to begin in the fourth quarter of this year with completion in 2018.
