295 NW 27th Street in Wynwood
Two buildings located at 285 and 295 NW 27th Street in Wynwood have sold for $11 million, according to SFBJ.
The properties were built in 1947 and 1952 and were purchased by Block Capital Group. Retail and a restaurant are planned for the site.
In December 2015, Block Capital Group partnered with The Related Group on a purchase of a 52,500 square foot of land in another section of Wynwood.
Melo Group Site in Arts & Entertainment District
On March 15th, Melo Group will go before Miami's Planning, Zoning and Appeals Board to rezone a 1.22 acre site in the Arts & Entertainment district, according to The Next Miami.
The block of land between NE 14th St and NE 1st Ave was purchased for $16 million in 2014 and is located across the street from another project from Melo Group under construction, Square Station.
The current zoning allows for a 22 story building with 304 units, while Melo Group is looking to rezone for a 43 story building with 630 units.
Aria on the Bay on the 52nd Floor
The 53 story Aria on the Bay is close to topping out and is currently on the 52nd floor of construction.
Almost a year ago, the building was just starting to go vertical.
Aria on the Bay is being developed by Melo Group, who are also developing the under construction Square Station and was designed by Arquitectonica. The building will have 647 residential units and 40,000 square feet of retail and office space.

Elysee Site In Edgewater
Work has started at the Elysee site in Edgewater with construction on the sea wall. The actual groundbreaking is expected to begin second quarter of this year.
Elysee is being developed by Two Roads Development who are also developing the nearly completed Biscayne Beach in Edgewater and is being designed by Arquitectonica. The building will rise 57 stories at 644 feet and have 100 residential units with only 1 or 2 units per floor. Jean-Louis Denoit is doing the interior designs.
Edge on Brickell Rendering
The Edge on Brickell, designed by architect Kobi Karp, is seeking approval for a taller building on their site located on the edge of the Miami River, according to The Next Miami.
The 13,797 square foot lot was purchased for $18.3 million in July 2015. The new request would see the tower rise taller to 631 feet and 58 stories from the original 55 stories and 606 feet.
A vacant sales center has been on the sitting on the site for over two years from the original developer.
Frost Museum of Science
The Frost Museum of Science is scheduled to open on May 8th of this year, according to The Miami Herald.
The $305 million museum is located in Museum Park in Downtown Miami next to the Pérez Art Museum of Miami.

Brickell Flatiron Site
Almost a year since ground breaking, Brickell Flatiron is starting to rise on the 65 story condo in Brickell. The columns are starting to form as the building reaches the second floor. Brickell Flatiron is one of many buildings in Brickell that are changing the skyline since 2013.
