Porsche Design Tower Construction Site

Developed by Dezer Development, the ultra luxury Porsche Design Tower is rising steadily in Sunny Isles Beach.

The tower will have 132 condo units, rise 60 stories at a maximum height of 650 feet. 

The unique feature of the building is that each unit comes with it's own private elevator in the sky. You can literally park your car in your living room. Each unit will have 2-4 spots for their cars and the building will have 3 car elevators. 

Groundbreaking began in April 2013 and construction is expected to be completed by first quarter 2016.

Margaritaville Resort Hollywood Close To Topping Out

Located on Hollywood Beach, Margaritaville Resort will be a 349 room hotel that will rise 17 floors. 

The project is being developed by Lon Tabatchnick and the architect is Adache Architects. The contractor is Coastal Construction and Tischman Construction. 

The cost of the project is $147 million and sits on 5 acres of land. 

Margaritaville Resort will open in Summer of 2015.

Overview of Miami Riverwalk Site In Brickell

Plans for Chetrit Group's Miami Riverwalk have been slightly altered before going under commission review, according to exMiami.

Revised plans call for public money totaling $22 million, which will include rebuilding the riverwalk and reconfiguring an exit off of I-95.

Currently, most of the houses and buildings on the site are boarded up with only a few businesses open before they have to vacate. Finnegan's on the River has been closed and workers are dismantling the site.

Tobacco Road To Permanently Close This Month

The Oldest Bar in Miami

According to Miami.com, Tobacco Road will be closing permanently on October 25. The lease was not up until May of 2015, but were forced to close sooner than expected. 

Established in 1912, Tobacco Road is Miami's oldest bar and had the first liquor license. For more history on the place click here.

The property and surrounding land was purchased by Columbian developer Carlos Mattos in April 2012 for $12.5 million. 

On October 25th, Tobacco Road will have its final closing party.

Hyde Beach Resort & Residences Has Ground Breaking

Yesterday, Related Group had the groundbreaking for Hyde Beach Resort & Residences in Hallandale Beach. 

The 41 story condo-hotel will have 40 condo units and 367 resort condo units that will be finished and furnished. 

The architect on the project is Cohen, Freedman, Encinosa & Associate with interiors by David Rockwell.

The project is expected to be completed by early summer 2016.

Located at 350 Ocean Drive on Key Biscayne, Ocean Key Biscayne is the ninth completed condo in South Florida since the latest construction boom in 2011. 

The site was the location of the Sonesta Hotel, which became abandoned after closing. The building sits on the east side of Key Biscayne and features unobstructed views of the ocean.

The 14 floor tower has 142 condo units and 12 villas in the building. The project was developed by Consultatio the architect was Miami based Arquitectonica and the contractor was Coastal Construction.

Groundbreaking started in February 2012.

Regatta Park In Coconut Grove Going Out For Bids

The Coconut Grove Grapevine is reporting that Regatta Park is ready to receive bids in the next few weeks for the creation of a new park.

The park will receive 200 donated trees and the city commission has allocated $5 million towards construction costs.

Construction on the 12 acre site is expected to start by the end of the year.
