Bayside Marketplace Renovations To Start Early 2015

According to Miami Today, Bayside Marketplace will undergo the first phase of renovations in early 2015 that will take eight months.

In August, voters approved to extend the lease for 99 years and require that Bayside Marketplace spend up to $35 million on renovations on the aging outdoor mall. Included in the agreement was the go ahead to allow SkyRise Miami to be built on land next to the Marina.

Located at 1500 SW 1st Ave, Atton Hotels construction is progressing. The site is located next to Le Parc at Brickell, which is also undergoing construction.

Atton Hotel just received a $41 million loan on the project according to SFBJ, that will help fund the site.

The 12 story hotel will hold 275 rooms.

Residents Ready To Move Into Brickell House Next Month

Brickell House has received its certificate of occupancy and will be ready to have its residents move in next month in November. 

The sold out condo in Brickell features an automated parking garage for residents and has a rooftop pool.

Formula E Race Coming To Miami In 2015

Course Track in Downtown Miami

Racing is coming back to Downtown Miami since moving to Homestead in 1995. The FIA Formula E Miami ePRIX will be held on March 14, 2015 using electric cars.

The track will go down Biscayne Boulevard and around the American Airlines Arena.

The race will be 30 laps and include 11 drivers.

Miami's Signature Bridge To Be Funded By 2018

Miami Today is reporting that an I-395 bridge will be funded for 2018, although a completed design won't come until January 2015.

Miami commissioners came to an agreement with the State of Florida for the bridge going over Biscayne Boulevard separating Park West and the Arts & Entertainment district. 

The project is estimated to cost between $500 - $600 million and will include 1.4 miles of road.

Formally known as Montage at Met 3, the building is now called Monarc at Met 3 to avoid confusion with a hotel named Montage.

Construction is pacing quickly since our last update with metal outlining covering the parking garage space.

Downtown Miami will have its first Whole Foods on the ground level of the building, which will open before the end of the year. The Whole Foods will be open while construction continues on the rest of the project. 

The project is being developed by ZOM, Inc and the architect is Nichols, Brosch, Wurst & Wolfe.

In West Brickell, construction is continuing on Le Parc at Brickell after breaking ground in April of this year.

The 12 story condo will be located next to Atton Hotel, which is also under construction.
