Downtown Miami Holiday Inn Purchased For $65M

Holiday Inn in Downtown Miami

The Holiday Inn located at 340 Biscayne Boulevard in Downtown Miami has sold for $65 million, according to The Miami Herald.

The buyer is Brazilian developer Gilberto Bomeny, who plans on building a 77 story building at a height of 953 feet. The building will include 400 residential units, 240 hotel rooms, 270,000 square feet of retail and 246,000 square feet of office space. 

The World Trade Center of the Americas was first proposed earlier this year with Arquitectonica as the architect.

Dade-Commonwealth Building In Downtown Miami Sold For $9.2M

Dade Commonwealth Building in Downtown Miami

The 90 year old Miami-Dade Commonwealth Building located at 139 NE 1st Street in Downtown Miami has been sold for $9.2 million, according to SFBJ. 

The 43,265 square foot building was purchased by Immocorp Capital and Wynwood Fund from Titan Development Partners. An original 32 ton stainless steel vault still remains in the building. 

The new buyers plan on restoring the property.

Glass Miami Beach Is Officially Open

Glass Miami Beach is now officially open and residents are allowed to move in. The 18 story luxury condominium located on South Beach in the South of Fifth district began construction in August 2013. 

The tower is the last high rise that can be constructed in South of Fifth due to zoning restrictions.

The 17 story Margaritaville Hollywood Beach Resort is now officially open with Jimmy Buffett giving a free concert on Saturday.

The resort has 349 rooms and cost $150 million.

Wendy's In Brickell For Sale At $21M

200 SW 8th Street Wendy's Location

A Wendy's in Brickell located at 200 SW 8th Street is up for sale at $21,800,000 for the 26,600 square foot lot. The seller - Brickell City Rentals LLC, purchased the lot in May 2014 for $10,500,000. 

The site has potential for 120 residential units or 240 hotel rooms and is zoned for T6-24. The listing agent is Fortune International Realty.

Earlier this year, Alfredo Coto of Millennium Developments purchased one acre of properties across the street from the Wendy's for $16 million in the emerging and transforming West Brickell area.

Scotty's Landing Now Grove Bay Grill

The beloved restaurant and bar of Coconut Grove - Scotty's Landing - has now changed ownership and is now called Grove Bay Grill, according to The Coconut Grove Grapevine.

The new ownership is Grove Bay Hospitality Group and they plan on making improvements to the kitchens and bathrooms of the restaurant located right on the Bay.

The Chart House next door is reportedly already closed and plans are still underway for the development of the site.

A crane has been added to the Aria on the Bay site in Edgewater and construction has begun on the project. 

The 53 story condo by Melo Group will have 647 residential units and is located next to Margaret Pace Park in Edgewater.
