New Restaurant Coming To Miami River

Purchased Site in Red Along the Miami River

Shahab Karmely of Kar Properties and Alex von Furstenberg have purchased property at 131 NW South River Drive along the Miami River, according to The Real Deal.

The property was purchased for $5.4 million with plans to turn it into restaurant with event and entertainment space. 

Karmely is also developing One River Point along the Miami River across from Brickell, which will be two 928 foot towers. 

The Miami River has been very active lately with the construction of a Sushi Samba, the proposed Edge on Brickell, the approved Riverside Wharf, Chetrit Group's Miami River complex and even the re-lighting of Rockne Kreb's "The Miami Line." 

The new restaurant on the site will open by the end of the year.

960 Foot Brickell Market Place Proposed

In February, plans were submitted to the FAA for a condo at the plaza where a Burger King is located at 10 SW 8th St. That condo now has a name called Brickell Market Place and will be 960 feet, according to The Next Miami.

The site is located next to the under construction Brickell Heights, the under construction SLS Lux to the East and Brickell City Centre to the North.

A project called Megacenter Brickell (although located in Little Havana) has been proposed just West of I-95, according to The Next Miami. 

Megacenter Brickell would be located at 420 SW 7th Street and 427 SW 8th Street where there is currently a car wash, apartment building and restaurant. The properties were purchased in 2015 for $7.93 million by Megacenter Brickell LLC.

At the 420 SW 7th Street location, a 12 story building with self storage and office space would be built, while the 427 SW 8th Street site would have a 9 story apartment building with 57 units. 

The project was designed by Borges Architects + Associates.

 

26 Edgewater Going Vertical

After breaking ground in June 2015, construction on 26 Edgewater is going vertical. 

The 10 story condo located at 321 NE 26th Street is being developed by Stripey Development and will have only 86 residential units. 26 Edgewater will have 1-2 bedroom units ranging from 560 to 980 square feet. Prices start at $270,000 for a 1 bedroom unit.

26 Edgewater was designed by Modis Architects.

Construction on 2500 Biscayne

2500 Biscayne has topped out since we last looked in February, on the 20 story building located at 2500 Biscayne Boulevard. 

The building will have 156 rental apartments and retail on the ground level of a restored mediterranean revival building that was built in 1923.

Alta Developers and Greystone Property Development are the developers of the building after purchasing the site for $10 million in April 2014.

Construction is expected to be completed by the end of the Summer.

1010 Brickell is currently on the 37th floor of the 50 story residential condo in Brickell. Construction has been moving quickly since we last looked at the project in January of this year. 

1010 Brickell is rising on what used to be parking garage and is located right next to the Metromover station.

Foundation Work Continuing At Brickell Flatiron

Brickell Flatiron Site

Brickell Flatiron had their ground breaking March 16th of this year on the 65 story Brickell condominium located at 1001 South Miami Avenue. 

Since that time, foundation work has started on the site and the building should go vertical before the end of the year. 

Brickell Flatiron is being developed by CMC Group and was designed by Luis Revuelta.
