SLS Lux Brickell Overlooking Biscayne Bay

A year ago, SLS Lux Brickell had just reached the 33rd floor of construction. Now, the 58 story condominium rises over the surrounding buildings including Brickell City Centre and the recently opened Brickell Heights.

Construction is still progressing on the building as both cranes have been removed from the site since we last looked in March.

There are only three more floors left for the balconies to be installed and the amenities deck is coming along.

Construction is expected to be completed by the end of the year.

Brickell Heights Officially Open

Brickell Heights had its Grand Opening party last night and closings are officially underway for the 49 story East tower and 46 story West tower.

The 30,000 square foot Equinox, with separate entrance and pool, has all its gym equipment in place and will be opening the doors June 14th at 2 pm.

Groundbreaking began on Brickell Heights in July 2014 and topped out in April 2016.

Habitat Development Purchase $21.6M Site In West Brickell

Habitat Development has purchased a 1.23 acre site in West Brickell for $21.6 million located between SW 2nd Ave and SW 3rd Ave along SW 9th St, according to The Real Deal.

Habitat Development plan to build three towers called Smart Brickell that will each have 50 hotel rooms, two towers will have 50 residential units and one tower will have 70 residential units.

Construction is expected to start second quarter 2018 and be completed by early 2020.

Smart Brickell is another project that is transforming West Brickell over the past 3-5 years.

Solitair Brickell Tops Off

The 50 story Solitair Brickell has topped off, according to The Next Miami.

Located at 86 SW 8th Street across from the recently opened Brickell City Centre, Solitair Brickell will have 438 rental units with a fitness center and spa on the 9th floor. The 50th floor will have a resident lounge, entertainment kitchen, cafe, garden complex and rooftop pool.

Construction began in January 2015 with the demolition of the parking ramp and started going vertical February 2016. Construction is expected to be completed by November of this year.

Brickell Heights Nearly Complete - To Receive TCO This Week (Photos)

Brickell Heights, located at 850 South Miami Avenue, is expected to receive TCO this week on the two towers with closings beginning on floors 10-30 and closings on floors 30 and higher 30 days later.

Groundbreaking on the two towers started in July 2014 and topped out in April 2016. The West Tower has 46 stories and the East Tower has 49 stories and both towers have a rooftop pool that offer spectacular views of the city. With 690 residential units, Brickell Heights is completely sold out.

Brickell Flatiron Is Taking Shape

The 65 story Brickell Flatiron is continuing to rise in the middle of the emerging Brickell district of Miami.

Construction is on the 6th floor with rebar and concrete pouring starting on the 7th floor. The curves of the building are now more noticable as the scaffolding is being removed from below.

This Was Brickell In 2014 In Timelapse

Much has changed in Brickell in only three years. Brickell City Centre was still under construction and months aways from the East Hotel topping out. Nine Mary Brickell Village was also still under construction. Brickell Heights had just started ground breaking on its two towers and is now close to opening. SLS Lux Brickell had not started construction and was still being used as a parking lot. Solitair Brickell was also months away from demolishing the parking ramp and starting construction on SW 8th St.
