Miami Bridge Lot Ventures Purchases Lot In Downtown Miami For $21M From FPL

Florida Power & Light sold a lot in Downtown Miami at 201 SW 2nd Avenue for $21 million, according to SFBJ.

The 2.24 acre lot was purchased by Miami Bridge Lot Ventures in a joint deal with Ytech International and developer Carlos Mattos.

The site can be developed for a mixed building such as residential, office, hotel and office. It has the potential to reach 36 stories.

Since topping off in October, Margaritaville Resort Hollywood is on pace for opening in Summer 2015. 

The three cranes have been removed from the site and painting has been done to the exterior on the West side of the building. 

The 17 story building is being developed by Lon Tabatchnick.

Curbed Miami is reporting that 1100 Millicento is completed and ready to start closing in three weeks.

The condo is the third residential condo to be completed, after MyBrickell and Brickell House, since the real estate crash.

Porsche Design Tower Now At The 27th Floor

Since our last update in October 2014, the Porsche Design Tower has reached the 27th floor of construction and close to the halfway mark. The 60 story tower will hold 132 residential units and at least 22 of the owners are billionaires. 

The pool deck facing the West can be prominently seen and the windows are being installed on the lower floors.

Construction is expected to be completed in 2016.

How To Pay For Better Transit Service In Miami-Dade

Metromover In Brickell

As traffic in Miami is increasing, the city is trying to find ways to pay for better transit service according to the Miami Herald

This would include dedicated lanes for buses, extending the Metrorail and a link between Miami and Miami Beach paid through private partnerships. 

There has been recent talk of charging $1 for the Metromover, which is currently free.

Rebuild Miami-Edgewater Buys Lot In Edgewater For $64 Million

A vacant lot located at the corner of NE 2nd Ave and NE 17th St. in Edgewater has just sold for $64 million. The land is just South of City Cemetery and the lot size is 7.4 acres.

The seller is BDM Miami and the buyer is Rebuild Miami-Edgewater. BDM Miami had plans to build Bayview Market before the recession came. 

A Look At The Edge On Brickell Sales Center

After starting construction on the Edge on Brickell sales center in August, the building appears to be almost completed. 

Located at 55 SW Miami Avenue Road, the sales center is located on the edge of the Miami River where the restaurant Big Fish used to be. 

The outside of the building resembles what the North façade of the condo will look like designed by artist Jan Hendrix.
