Construction on the new Coconut Grove Bank is making progress. The new bank building is expected to open by the first quarter of 2017.

The current six story Coconut Grove Bank on the Park Grove site was built in 1959 and is expected to be torn down as soon as the new bank is completed. 

While the new Coconut Grove Bank is being completed, construction on Two Park Grove is continuing and is in the process of going vertical. Park Grove is being developed by Terra Group and Related Group. Rem Koolhaas of OMA is the architect on the project.

After being purchased for $10 million in January, the Firestone Miami Beach located at 1575 Alton Road will become a 24 hour Al's Diner, according to the Real Deal.

The buyer was Russell Galbut of Crescent Heights, but will be managed by Menin Hospitality. They plan on renovating the building with a drive through window and plan on restoring the large Firestone sign on top of the building. 

Al's Diner is expected to open at the beginning of next year.

Grove at Grand Bay has received its temporary certificate of occupancy and closings will begin this week, according to The Real Deal.  

The two twisting towers designed by architect Bjarke Ingels, is located at 2675 and 2669 South Bayshore Drive. The towers have 98 units and both towers are 20 stories. Interior build outs will be completed in three months and move ins ready in four to six months.

Grove at Grand Bay was once home to the iconic five star Grand Bay Hotel that become abandoned for many years before the property was purchased by Terra Group for $24 million in 2011. 

Construction on the Grove at Grand Bay began in June 2013 and topped off in June 2015. While the two towers were under being built, they lit up the Coconut Grove skyline from the construction lights at night

Construction is underway at 300 Biscayne Rentals, located at 243 NE 3rd St in Downtown Miami. 300 Biscayne Rentals will be a 464 luxury apartment tower developed by Property Markets Group who are also developing the under construction Echo Brickell.  

Units at 300 Biscayne Rentals will range from studios to three bedroom apartments that will have high tech features such as built in speakers with that will connect your music as you walk in. Prices for One bedroom units will start at $1,800 a month. 

300 Biscayne Rentals recently broke ground in June and foundation work is currently being done on the site. 300 Biscayne Rentals will start going vertical in the coming months.

Construction is expected to be completed by Summer 2018.

Construction on MiamiCentral - All Aboard Florida

After revealing plans in May 2014 and starting site work in November 2014, MiamiCentral is starting to take shape as the beams are being installed on the 50 foot columns. 

MiamiCentral will be a high speed rail service that will connect Miami to Orlando with stops in West Palm Beach and Fort Lauderdale. Service between Miami and West Palm Beach will begin in the Summer of 2017. Full service to Orlando will begin at the end of 2017. 

MiamiCentral was designed by Skidmore, Owings and Merrill in collaboration with Zyscovich Architects. 

Construction on the office building 3 Miami Central recently reached the 8th floor.

Melo Group's Sushi Samba On Miami River Taking Shape

Sushi Samba Along Miami River

The 19,788 square foot three level building along the Miami River that will have a Sushi Samba and Duck & Waffle is progressing. 

The building, developed by Melo Group and designed by ITEC Design started construction earlier this year. The design of the building is supposed to be a play on lobster crates.

District 36 (Eve at the District) In Midtown Miami Getting Closer To Completion

A year ago, District 36 (now known as Eve at the District) was just starting to go vertical on the 19 story mixed used building in Midtown Miami. District 36 will have 195 luxury rental units, plus 60,000 square feet of retail and restaurant space.

The exterior of the building has been painted and landscape work is being done on the amenities deck. Completion is expected by October of this year.
