Caoba Miami Worldcenter is getting closer to completion and ready for a Fall 2018 opening after only topping off at the beginning of the year. 

When we last looked at the 43 rental tower in Downtown Miami at the end of June, all of the hoists were about to be removed. Now most of the exterior of the building has been painted with work finishing on the North side of the tower.

With 450 rental units, Caoba will be the first building completed as part of the 27 acre Miami Worldcenter project in Downtown Miami.

When we last looked at One Thousand Museum in February, the luxury condominium in Downtown Miami just topped off at 709 feet. 

A year ago in August 2017, One Thousand Museum just surpassed neighboring tower Ten Museum in height. Two years ago, the tower just reached the 15th floor.

Construction continues on the Zaha Hadid designed tower as the hoists have been removed from the South and West side the building showing a clearer look at the exoskeleton. In November 2017, installation began on the glass fiber reinforced concrete which gives the the exoskeleton a smooth finish on the curves of the building. The panels are almost installed all over the whole tower. Cladding also is being installed on the parking garage on the base of the building. The rooftop helipad, the first in Miami since The Centrust Tower in the 1980's, is starting to take shape.

Construction is expected to be completed be the end of the year.

Elysee Miami Reaches 2nd Floor As It Receives $138M Construction Loan

After going vertical at the end of June and have starting to have the crane installed, the 57 story Elysee Miami has now reached the second floor. 

Developers Two Roads Development and DW Partners have secured a $138 million construction loan on the 648 foot tower in Edgewater.

After being halfway through demolition on the Eastern portion of Cocowalk earlier in the month, the entire structure is almost down now and should be completely torn down by next week.

Demolition has also started on the main rotunda in the center of Cocowalk where there used to be a Fat Tuesday's and Starbucks.

Initial demolition began on the Eastern portion of Cocowalk in May to make way for the 5 story Class A office building One Cocowalk.

12 Story CitizenM Hotel Coming To Miami Worldcenter

A 12 story CitizenM hotel will be coming to the Miami Worldcenter project located next to NE 2nd Ave between NE 7th St and NE 8th St, according to The Real Deal.

The hotel will have 128,000 square feet with a rooftop bar and pool and is located next to the under construction Caoba Apartments and the recently topped off Paramount Miami Worldcenter.

CitizenM is also developing at 20 story hotel in Brickell at the Perricone's Restaurant location.

The Mixed Used Building Metronomic Place Coming To Coconut Grove

A six story mixed used building called Metronomic Place is coming to Coconut Grove with groundbreaking expected in September, according to Curbed Miami.

The 13,050 square foot lot was purchased in June of this year for $4.1 million by Metronomic Inc. Metronomic is also developing to soon to come five story Commodore Place also in Coconut Grove.

Designed by CLAD, Metronomic Place will have 5,000 square feet of office space, 3,200 square feet of ground floor retail and 44 hotel rooms. 

Metronomic Place is expected to be completed in 2019.

Purchased for $16 million in January 2016, construction is well underway at Terra Group's Mary Street Office in Coconut Grove.

When completed the building will have 75,000 square feet of Class A office space and 20,000 square feet of retail.

The Mary Street Office building is designed by Touzet Studio and Beame Architectural Partnership.
