Inside The Abandoned House At 622 South Miami Avenue

622 South Miami Avenue House

Located at 622 South Miami Avenue, this house was built in 1920 next to Tobacco Road, when the bar was only eight years old. The house is 1,389 square feet and was built 10 years after the original building it's associated with, which is currently used as a frame store. 

The building and land was purchased in March 2014 by Columbian developer Carlos Mattos who also purchased Tobacco Road. 

The house was used as rental units until it was cleared out last October and finally was torn down at the beginning of 2015. 

The surrounding buildings including River Oyster Bar and Restaurant are expected to be demolished later this year. 

Ritz-Carlton Residences Miami Beach Construction Update

Ritz-Carlton Residences Miami Beach

Since last checking in on the Ritz-Carlton Residences Miami Beach in November, construction is still progressing to transform the shell of the Miami Heart Institute into condo units. 

The building is located on Surprise Lake in Miami Beach and will have views of Miami and Miami Beach. 

Construction is expected to be completed by the end of 2016.

Reach Brickell City Centre Tops Off

Following the topping off of the East Hotel and Rise Brickell City Centre, Reach Brickell City Centre becomes the last of the three towers to top off.

Reach Brickell City Centre is 43 stories, along with Rise and the East Hotel being 40 stories.

According to The Next Miami, 17% of the units in Reach have been sold thus far.

Construction is scheduled to be completed by the end of the year with work then beginning on One Brickell City Centre for the second phase.

Construction at 1010 Brickell

After demolishing the parking garage that was on the site in September 2014, construction at 1010 Brickell has progressed quickly. 

A crane has been added to the site and deep digging has been underway. 

The 50 story condo is located right next to the metromover and is only a block away from Mary Brickell Village.

Icon Bay Almost Complete - Closings To Begin Soon

Curbed Miami has gotten word from Related Group President Carlos Rosso that Icon Bay will begin closings soon on the building. 

The 42 story building began construction in March 2013 and is located on the edge of Biscayne Bay in the Edgewater district of Miami.

Baru Urbano Torn Down To Make Way For Brickell Flatiron

The Former Site of Baru Urbano

Since announcing the project almost a year ago, Baru Urbano has been demolished to prepare for the construction of Brickell Flatiron. 

One third of the units have already been reserved and approval of a height of 700 feet has been submitted to the FAA, according to The Next Miami.

The Whole Foods Under Monarc at Met 3

Whole Foods has opened on the ground level of Monarc at Met 3 in mid-January despite construction continuing above on the building. 

The 32 story building is currently on the 30th floor and close to topping out.Construction is expected to be completed by the end of the year.
