Today at 11:30am, One Thousand Museum will break ground on the new condo. The event will be attended by architect Zaha Hadid, who designed the building.
The 62 story building is located across from Museum Park, which features The Perez Art Museum of Miami and the under construction Frost Museum of Science.
Units start at $5 million all the way up to $49 million for the 16,000 square foot penthouse unit.
Future Site of One Brickell
Related Group will buy over 850,000 square feet of development rights for it's One Brickell project at 444 Brickell Ave., according to The Next Miami. This means Related will have to pay $15 million to the city for the extra density.
One Brickell will still meet the 50 foot set back that will connect the riverwalk underneath the Brickell Avenue Bridge.
Construction will begin sometime in 2015.
Related Group will break ground on two buildings today, the SLS Lux Hotel & Residences in Brickell and One Paraiso in Edgewater. SLS Lux will start first at 11:00 AM followed by One Paraiso at 12:30 PM.

Opening in time for Art Basel is Palm Court in Miami's Design District. Although many of the stores are a few weeks or months from opening the area is now open to the public.
The highlights of Palm Court are Buckminster Fuller's "Fly's Eye Dome" and Sou Fujimoto's glass blue fins.
The South end of Paseo Ponti Walkway is open that will connect with shops and restaurants.

After starting construction in September, Brickell Flatiron will be opening their sales center later this week. The sales center was designed by Julian Schnabel who will also design the condo public spaces.
The 65 story condo developed by CMC Group is located at 1001 South Miami Ave and just a few blocks from Brickell City Centre.
While the sales center is located at Flatiron Park the actual condo will be built just North of it past the metromover tracks.
Groundbreaking is expected to begin by early 2015.
Grove at Grand Bay Under Construction
When you drive into Coconut Grove from Brickell, the first thing you notice is the Grove at Grand Bay under construction at the site of the now demolished Grand Bay Hotel Coconut Grove.
The two towers are spiraling to the height of 20 stories and is in the process of building the 13th floor.
Windows are being installed on the lower floors and the lower level pool has been built out.

The Cape Florida Lighthouse is located on Key Biscayne, Florida in Bill Baggs Park. The lighthouse was built in 1825 and reconstructed in 1846. It is the oldest structure in Miami-Dade County.
