Millennium Developments of Brickell Site

Demolition is underway in West Brickell on a site that was purchased by Millennium Developments of Brickell. 

Two buildings are being demolished on the site. One is a 10 unit apartment complex built in 1971 and the other is a house built in 1926.

Millennium Developments of Brickell originally purchased the Citgo gas station at 190 SW 8th Street for $9.25 million in June 2014. The remaining lots were purchased in February 2015 bringing the total price for the one acre site to $16 million.

The site is zoned for a 24 story building.

Demolition has begun at Biscayne 27 (the former Ion Edgewater site) in Edgewater. Workers have begun clearing the land and are in the process of demolishing all of the houses on the site. Most of the houses were built in the 1920's and were currently used as multi-unit apartment rentals. 

Located at 2701 Biscayne Boulevard, Biscayne 27 will be 8 stories and have 330 apartment units. There will also be 9,537 of retail space, 396 parking spaces and courtyard with pool. The building was designed by Corwil Architects.

The 2.2 acre site was purchased by Richman Group for $30 million. 

Construction on Biscayne 27 should begin before the end of the year.

After purchasing the Epic East site in July 2014 for $125 million, demolition has begun on the former Epic Sales Center.

The 1.25 acre site was purchased by Riverwalk East Development, led by Alfredo Coto.

The Next Miami reports plans will be submitted soon for a new condo tower.

Yesterday, we took a look at the inside of Pablo Escobar's Miami Beach mansion at 5860 North Bay Road before it was destroyed. Demolition began on the house where the fountain, garage, laundry room, office and part of an upstairs bedroom were taken down with bulldozers. There was many media and news crews filming the event. There was even a film crew recording a documentary on the house.

A pink black tiled house located at 5860 North Bay Road on Miami Beach is set to be demolished on January 19, 2016. The house was once owned by notorious drug kingpin Pablo Escobar who purchased the house on March 21, 1980 for $765,500.

The 7,336 square foot house was built in 1948 and has 4 bedrooms and 6 bathrooms on a lot size of 33,041 square feet. A 2,061 square foot addition was added to the house in 1992.

On Saturday morning at exactly 9:00am, Electra on the Bay in Edgewater came down very quickly in an implosion. The implosion created a loud noise and the building was completely down in about 3 seconds. Dust and smoke filled the sky. All that remained was the pool deck, which can be taken down with bulldozers.

Electra On The Bay Demolition Tomorrow Morning

Electra on the Bay in Edgewater

On October 24 at 7:30am demolition will begin to demolish the 12 story Electra on the Bay in Edgewater.

Demolition on the other homes and buildings on the block began in September and Electra on the Bay is the last building to be destroyed before construction on a new tower can start.

The land is owned by 700 Edgewater Development who is connected to Russian Oleg Baybakov. They have plans to build a 649 foot tower on the lot.
