Oceanside Extended Care Center
The abandoned Oceanside Extended Care Center in Miami Beach located at 550 9th St, could be covered into a hotel if new zoning plans are approved, according the The SFBJ.
The 6 story building built in 1966 was purchased for $17.63 million in February by Simon Nemni.
New plans would have 110 hotel rooms, rooftop pool deck and 29 parking spaces.
Square Station
With two towers at 34 stories and 710 apartment units, Square Station in the Arts & Entertainment district is soon to open.
The finishing touches are being made on the building including the ground level retail and the amenities deck between the two towers.
Construction started on Square Station in October 2016 and topped off September 2017.
Another Melo Group project across the street, Art Plaza, started going vertical recently.

Art Plaza in the Arts & Entertainment District
After installing the first crane in March, all three cranes are up at Art Plaza and the project is already starting to go vertical.
The Melo Group developed project will have two towers at 34 stories and 667 apartment units.
The East Tower has already reached the 3rd floor and the West Tower is starting to rise.
Another nearby Melo Group project across the street, Square Station, is nearly completed.

Margaritaville Hollywood
Margaritaville Hollywood Beach Resort has sold for $127 million to KSL Capital Partners, according to The Real Deal.
The 17 story hotel was built on 5 acres by Lon Tabatchnick and Starwood Capital Group and has 349 hotel rooms. Construction was completed in November 2015.

Midtown 6 Under Construction
After starting construction in February of this year, Midtown 6 is now going vertical and has reached the 4th floor of the 32 story building in Midtown Miami.
With 447 apartment units, Midtown 6 is located next to Midtown 5, which was completed early 2017.
Since original plans were revealed March 2017, construction will begin soon on the Brickell World Plaza expansion, according to The SFBJ.
A $20 million construction loan was granted to Brickell Holdings III and Brickell Financial Centre LLC to create a 12 story building with 553 parking spaces, office space and retail space.
Future plans for the second phase include a 904 foot tower with 360 hotel rooms and 134 residential units.
Rendering of 82 Story Tower
An 82 Story tower has been proposed at the Downtown Miami Courtyard Marriott site at 200 SE 2nd Ave, according to The Real Deal.
The 1.5 million square foot building would have 266 hotel rooms and 637 residential units with 553 parking spaces.
Currently on the site is a 13 story Courtyard Marriott that was built in 1975 on 1.2 acres.
The building was listed for sale in September 2014 and eventually taken off the market.
The site is owned by AVR Realty affiliate Miami Convention Hotel Corp.
