Art Plaza Topped Off

Rising very quickly is the two story Art Plaza in the Arts & Entertainment district of Miami. The East Tower topped off at 34 stories in November while the West Tower recently reached the 34th floor.

A year ago at this time, foundation work was beginning on the site after the previous buildings were demolished on the site. In March 2018, the towers were starting to go vertical, starting with the East Tower.

The Melo Group developed Art Plaza is expected to be completed in mid 2019.

Perricone's Marketplace Brickell

Perricone's Marketplace in Brickell will close in a few weeks after first opening in 1996. The property was sold in October 2017 for $16.18 million.

Demolition plans were filed in December 2017 that will make way for a 19 story CitizenM Hotel with 252 rooms.

Perricone’s will move to a nearby location at 1700 SW Third Ave and will open at the end of March.

The Krystal Tower site in Downtown Miami located at 530 NW First Court has been sold for $8.5 million, according to The Real Deal. The seller is Rodolfo Ishak and the buyer is BH Investments

Krystal Tower was supposed to be a 35 story condo with 153 residential units when announced in September 2014. It was then changed to Miami Station Tower in July 2016, but never materialized as the building remained uncompleted.

The site in located across the street from 3 MiamiCentral and next to a lot purchased for $4.7 million September 2016 where a 150 rental building was planned.

The two story Grove Bay Parking Garage between the City of Miami and Miami Parking Authority is taking shape in Coconut Grove after starting construction in June 2018.

Amendments are being considered for the site, which include reducing the size of the garage and retail areas, change critical dates to coincide with the current construction schedule of the garage, and allow a rent abatement of $58,333.33 monthly for two years.

The garage is expected to be completed in the Spring of 2019.

Monad Terrace Reaches 9th Floor Of Construction

Construction has reached the 9th floor at Monad Terrace in Miami Beach and is taking shape since we last looked at the beginning of October.

The Jean Nouvel designed building will have only 59 residential units and is expected to be completed third quarter 2019.

One Cocowalk Now Going Vertical

After starting demolition on the aging Cocowalk in May of this year, and being completely demolished in September, the 5 story class A One Cocowalk is now starting to go vertical on the site.

One Cocowalk will have 73,000 square feet of office space and have an open courtyard where the main rotunda used to be.
