Late last week, the American Legion Post 29 Building in the Upper Eastside was completely demolished to make way for a new American Legion building and a five story apartment complex

Located at 6445 NE 7th Ave, The American Legion's Harvey Seeds Post 29 building was built in 1966 and named after the first Miami soldier killed in World War I. The building was used for war veterans for events and gatherings. 

In later years, a room in the back of the building was used as a bar called Harvey's By The Bay and the parking lot was used for Thursday's on the Bay Food Truck Roundup

Midtown 6 and Midtown 7 Rendering

A rendering of Midtown 6 and Midtown 7 have been revealed by The Next Miami

The proposed apartment buildings called Midtown 6 and Midtown 7. Midtown 6 will have 447 units, 39,718 square feet of retail and 601 parking spaces while Midtown 7 will have 391 units, 30,709 square feet of retail and 505 parking spaces. 

Both buildings will be located to the South of the under construction Midtown 5, which will be completed before the end of the year. 

Midtown 5, Midtown 6 and Midtown 7 are being developed by Magellan Development Group based in Chicago. BKL Architecture is the designing Midtown 6 and 7.

The 28 story Oceana Bal Harbour located at 10201 Collins Avenue in Bal Harbour is getting closer to completion and should be ready for closings in November. 

When we previously looked at the project in March, two cranes were still on the site and exterior work was still being done. The interiors are nearly finished and landscaping work by Enzo Enea is currently in process.

The 240 unit Oceana Bal Harbour is being developed by Consultatio and was designed by Arquitectonica. The project is 75 percent sold.

The American Legion’s Harvey W. Seeds Post 29 Building located at 6445 NE 7th Avenue on the Upper East Side has been demolished after starting demolition work the past two weeks. 

To the West of the American Legion property between Biscayne Boulevard and NE 7th Ave and bordering Legion Park and NE 64th St are 17 abandoned residences on a 6.45 acre site. These low rise buildings built between 1940 and 1972, were purchased by ACRE GCDM Bay Investment II (Global City Development) for $10.9 million. Residents have left their properties by February 29th of this year and the buildings have been boarded up and abandoned since.

Lot Purchased For $4.7M In Downtown Miami

Meyers Group has purchased at lot at 533 NW 2nd Ave for $4.7 million where they are planning to build a 150 unit rental building. 

The proposed high rise is located next to the proposed Miami Station Tower (formerly Krystal Tower) and across the street from the under construction 3 Miami Central. 

Muse Residences Reaches 37th Floor

The 47 story Muse Residences located at 17141 Collins Avenue in Sunny Isles Beach has reached the 37th floor of construction. 

The building is rising quickly since we last looked in June and was on the 18th floor. The windows are being installed on the lower floors with the units starting to be framed out.

Muse Residences was designed by Carlos Ott in collaboration with Sieger Suarez. Property Markets Group and S2 Development is developing the luxury condominium. Property Markets Group is also developing the under construction 300 Biscayne Rentals and Echo Brickell.  

Construction is expected to be completed by the end of 2017.

The 41 story Hyde Beach Resort & Residences has progressed significantly since we last looked at the project in April

Both cranes have been removed from the site and all of the windows and balconies have been installed. The exterior painting is nearly complete with a mural going up on the South side of the parking garage. 

Hyde Beach Resort & Residences is being developed by The Related Group and was designed by Cohen Freedman Encinosa & Associates.
