Bayside Motor Inn Under Demolition

Demolition has begun at 5101 Biscayne Boulevard at the Bayside Motor Inn.

Developed by Mattoni Group and Avra Jain, the redeveloped Bayside Motor Inn will have a new three story building on the North part of the site at 18,994 square feet with ground floor retail and offices on the top two floors. The South part of the hotel will be renovated and restored to be used as a restaurant. The designs were done by Urban Robot Associates.

Built in 1952, the Bayside Motor Inn was purchased for $4,050,000 million in June 2016 by Bayside 5101 LLC.

The Miami Historic and Environmental Preservation Board approved of the plans in February 2017.

Downtown Miami FedEx Building Sold For $37.25M

The Downtown Miami FedEx Building located at 200 South Miami Avenue has sold for $37.25 million, according to The Real Deal. 

The seller is Fifteen Group who purchased the 110,000 square foot building in 2014 for $19 million. The buyer has not been disclosed.

In November 2014, Fifteen Group purchased the First Church of Christ Scientist in Edgewater for $14.3 million. 

Rockpoint Group Receives $109M Mortgage For 1221 Brickell

After being purchased for $155 million in April, Rockpoint Group has received a $109 million mortgage on 1221 Brickell, according to The Real Deal. 

The 27 story 1221 Brickell was built in 1986 and designed by Harwood K. Smith & Partners. The building is known for its illuminating lights at night and was featured in the television show Miami Vice.

Rockpoint Group purchased Mary Brickell Village for $113.5 million in 2015.

1111 Lincoln Road Parking Garage Purchased For $283M

1111 Lincoln Road

The iconic 1111 Lincoln Road designed by architects Herzog & de Meuron has been purchased by a new owner, according to The Miami Herald. 

The 263 space parking garage with 40,000 square feet of retail and 110,000 square feet of office space cost $65 million and opened in 2010.

The property was purchased in 2005 by developer Robert Wennett for $23.5 million.

UPDATE: 1111 Lincoln has been purchased by German investment fund Bayerische Versorgungskammer for $283 million
